Sasha Brätt is a stage director who deftly unites talented artists and inspiring texts to create beautiful, contemporary theater pieces. He is especially noted for expert casting choices and a captivating rehearsal experience. Sasha believes these are the critical beginnings of any successful production.

From his foundational work at Shakespeare & Company comes a classical text-based approach to audience engagement and storytelling. This style was further refined by extensive field work with thriving directors such as Robert O'Hara, Eleanor Holdridge, Chris Grabowski and Robert Richmond.

In the past five years, Sasha has expanded his focus to include developing new works with emerging playwrights.

Sasha has premiered new plays at the New York International Fringe Festival, the Source Festival, Capital Fringe, and serves as Literary Manager for the Playhouse on Park in West Hartford.

He also commands eight years of theater teaching experience and holds both a Masters in Theater Education and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Sasha is an associate member of SDC.
